Turkey Pin

skill level: easy

brown felt (body and head)
tan felt (for tail feathers)
gold felt (for beak)
red felt (for wattle)
2 wiggle eyes
glue
pen
safety pin

Cut a 1" circle from the brown felt for the body.
Cut a 1/2" circle from the brown felt for the head.
Cut a heart-shape for the tail feathers, about 1-1/2" wide x 2" tall).
Cut an oval shaped out of the red, about 1/4" wide x 1/2" long.
Cut a gold triangle, about 1/4" wide x 1/4" long.
Cut out feet from the gold, about 1/2" wide x 1/4" tall.
Cut a square of felt this will hold the safety pin to the back.
Now you're ready for assembly:
Glue body to the middle and base of the heart shaped felt piece.
Glue the head slightly overlapping the top of the body.
Glue wattle just underneath the head.
Glue eyes on the head.
Glue on the beak below eyes.
Glue the feet at the bottom of the body.
Now turn turkey over.
Open the safety pin and lay the square of felt it - the sharp point of the safety pin.
Glue the square in place.
Let dry completely.
