Potato Soup
serves 8-10
7 cups water
6
medium potatoes, peeled & sliced
2 yellow onions, peeled &
sliced
2 carrots, peeled & sliced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 bay
leaf
1/2 cup hot milk
1/2 cup hot light whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon
ground cloves
salt & pepper to taste
Boil the water in a
saucepan.
Add the potatoes, onions, carrots, thyme, and bay leaf.
Cook
over low heat for 45 minutes.
Drain off the water, remove the bay
leave.
Add the milk, cream, cloves, salt, and pepper.
Cook over low heat
for 10 minutes.
