Magnets

skill level: easy
cost: $5-$20
craft time: 20 minutes
This is a great project for
kids.
3 wooden hearts
green paint
chenille stem, green
small
wooden circle for base
pin back or magnet
glue
optional
small black piece of fun foam
small wooden disc
or plug
black fine point marker
Paint the 3 wooden hearts green and
allow to dry.
Glue the wooden hearts onto the base circle, pointed ends
inward to form 3 leaves of the shamrock.
Cut the chenille stem to 4 inches
and fold in half, to double its width.
Glue it with the open ends facing the
pointed ends of the hearts onto the base disc, covering it as much as possible.
Then slightly curve it to make an attractive stem for your shamrock.
This part is optional: Glue the small wooden disc or plug on top of the
center of the pin/magnet such that it covers the pointed ends of the hearts and
the open end of the stem.... Then draw 2 eyes and a mouth, smiling. Cut the fun
foam into a top-hat shape and glue it at an angle on the top heart-leaf, such
that it looks like a jaunty hat!
Glue your pin back or magnet on the reverse
side, and you are done!
That's all there is to it.
