Easter Bunny Barbecue

This party is for adults only. We don't want to frighten the Easter Bunny believers.

Invitation: Make The invitation using Printmaster. Over the bunny on the cover paste a small, foil wrapped solid chocolate bunny.

INSIDE:
Please join is Saturday when we roast the rabbit. We guarantee an afternoon of adult fun and games and a memorable supper.

Dress: Casual

Dcor:: Straw hats painted to resemble bunnies, A large terrycloth bunny and baskets filled with Peeps bunnies and lollypop flowers.

Activities/Games:
COLOR THE TABLECLOTH - Draw coloring book bunnies on a white tablecloth. Guests color them and sign. Later, iron the drawings to set and use for next year's party

EASTER PARADE - give each guest a pastel plastic visor to decorate and place a basket of foam shapes, rhinestones, ribbons, broken jewelry, etc. and Goop glue on each table. Have everyone model his or her creations. Give prizes for the best "bonnets".

EGG HUNT - Hide real eggs and plastic eggs filled with little treasures. (For adults, this works best at twilight) Give prizes for most eggs, most real eggs and most pink eggs. Feel free to get some of the prizes, especially stuffed animals, from the Goodwill. Just clean them up as needed.

BUNNY TOSS - Make beanbags in the shape of bunnies. Make numbered colored paper eggs. Players in turn draw a number and get two chances to try to toss the bunny onto the egg corresponding to the number they draw. Two bunnies on the same egg makes 10 points. One bunny on the right egg makes 5 points. 1 bunny on any egg is 1 point. Do two rounds. Most points wins.

Prizes/Party Favors:
FAVORS - Make cookies on a stick in the shape of tulips, use in the centerpieces, then give out at the end of the party.

PRIZES - Assorted "stuff" small enough to fit inside plastic eggs including: small jewelry, lottery tickets, gift certificate. small toys and condoms. For larger prizes: stuffed bunnies, chocolate bunnies,
disposable cameras, and white elephants.

Food/Cake:

  • BBQ Bunny- roast the rabbits in the oven first, then finish on the barbecue.
  • Easter Egg Salad: Slightly crack boiled eggs before dying. Slice lengthwise into quarters. Use to garnish garden salad.
  • Hot Cross Buns
  • Buttered Asparagus
  • Ice Cream Eggs Cut slices of vanilla ice cream with an egg-shaped cutter. Press green-dyed coconut into the surface and add tiny candy eggs.
