Dessert Party
by W.Holidays
This is a
fun get together with family and friends. Imagine a
buffet table filled with just dessert! You could have a
straight variety of pastries, all international desserts or different
kinds of chocolate.
Invitation: Create your own invitations.
Start with chocolate brown card stock and create a collage of desserts on each card.
Dress:
casual or fancy
Decor: Have a simple table, white tablecloth and some flowers. You
don't want to take away from the desserts. Use cloth napkins, china,
silverware, and goblets for milk.
Activities/Games:
- Guess the insides: Set
out an assortment of 10 chocolates and number them. Let each
guest write down what they think is on the inside, may sure you know
ahead of time. Whoever guesses the most correct wins the
chocolate. Ties must split the booty.
- Guess the chocolate: Blindfold the guests and let them taste a type of
candy, chocolate, or cookie and see if they can tell what it is.
- Chocolate
Therapy : Dare to Discover Your Inner Center! This
is a great book. You need this book and a box of chocolate. Let everyone pick a piece of chocolate and
then read what their choice reveals about his or her personality!
Prizes/Party Favors: What else, a small box of assorted
chocolates or a little bag of cookies.
Food/Cake:
Most importantly you want a blend textures and flavors. Make sure you
have something smooth and creamy, crunchy, fruity, nutty, and chocolate.
To drink have coffee, tea, milk, and water.
Of course you can also make this a potluck and ask everyone to bring a
dessert but give each person a mission so you get a variety. IE: one
person has to bring a fruit dessert, another the creamy pie.
Cut the pieces smaller than normal. People will feel comfortable
tasting several items. Allow 3 pieces per person, along with some
cookies.
