Games for Prizes
***with the Right Family
|
|
by Lennis Geikenin
Montgomery, Illinois
A game I play with a large or small bunch
of kids, or small if I shorten the story. I change the story with the
season...example Valentine's Day with the Right family I make Valentine
cookies in the story, etc. Every time you say left or right
you pass a wrapped package to the left or right. Put that many
individually wrapped gifts in the big wrapped box for the kids playing
the game and read this story. Remember to pass the packages left when
left is said and right when right is said.

Video Scavenger Hunt |
|
by Linda Zellman
For teens and adults
This game requires that someone in the group be able to drive. It can
be used a fundraiser. Devise a point system and judge all submissions
with over a certain number of points. Charge the cost of camera rentals
plus $25 as an entry fee. Get big prizes like trips or gift
certificates donated for prizes.
Borrow 3 or 4 video cameras. Divide into groups so each one will have a
camera. They must go as a group to each location and film themselves in
action.
Here's a sample list:
-Riding the "horsey" at a grocery store.
-Doing the Macarena with a stranger.
-Climbing a tree.
-Meeting a firefighter and talking him/her into letting you wear a
firecoat
-Shaking a town official's hand
-Pushing someone in a wheelchair
-Interviewing a reporter at the local paper
Set a time when everyone must return with their tapes. View them
together and vote for the best ones.
