A Woman's name

As we come into this world we grasp our first
breath of air
Looking down at us is the woman our entire lives will care
A person that will give us what ever we need
In her heart toward us never any greed
She will do anything whatever it takes
No matter the price or whatever the stakes
Planting seeds in our minds as we grow
Love for us everyday she will show
This woman gives without a thought or care
Giving up everything for her child nothing she shall spare
Her kiss will take away any of our pain
To us she only goes by only one name
This lady is one that is special indeed
One that we will always count on and need
She will play many roles to each child
Her laws strict, her manner mild
She will be our doctor tend to our pain
Our teacher feeding knowledge to our brain
Chauffeur driving us where we need to go
Our playmate or friend, each role she does know
This lady who can see be?
Many many things she has been to me
The different hats that she does where
All of her heart with us she does share
This special lady she must have a name
Her love burns the hottest flame
We have all had this woman in our life at one time
She is the one that will always shine
Celebrating this special lady on this one day
We should thank God for her and pray
Who is this lady but none other
She is the one whom we call mother
