Ojo de Dios

Ojo de Dios translates as "Eye of God" and
are considered good luck. Ojo de Oros or "Eye of Gold" is traditionally
made for the Summer Solstice. Although it seems complicated when you first read
though the directions you will find it is really easy and fun.
2 wooden
dowels, chopsticks, or Popsicle sticks
yarn in several colors
have on
hand
scissors
Cross the tow sticks making an "X".
Tie yarn in a
knot around the sticks where they cross.
Strengthen the "x" and start the
pattern, wrap yarn twice \\ then // for the "x".
Begin weaving the yarn over
one stick then under and around the next, then over and around the next. Keep
repeating this pattern.
When you want to change colors simple tuck the thread
under the yarn in the back.
