Cut off the top of the carton so
that the top is squared off.
Push the pencil through the very top of the
carton from one side to the other (you may need to start the hole with
scissors).
Wrap one end of the wick to a pencil. May need to tape it in
place.
Let the remainder hang down in to the carton, trim if
necessary.
Chop up the paraffin and place in the tin can.
Add coloring and
fragrance if desired.
Place in the saucepan filled 1"-2" of water.
Heat
wax over a low flame. Melt slowly. Maintain the water bath.
Stir
gently.
When all of the wax has melted, turn off the flame.
Carefully pour
the wax into milk carton, pour around the wick.
Allow the candle to cool and
harden.
Remove carton, may need to tear it off.
Remove pencil.
Allow
the candle to cure for several days before using.
