pole or long dowel
Cut two identical fish shapes using heavy plastic craft paper, about
about 30 inches long, with the ends to be about 7 inches wide, and the
body about 12 inches wide. The carps mouth should be open.
Paint and designs both sides of the your carp.
Glue the two sides together with a 1/2-inch seam all the way around, except for the mouth, do not glue the mouth.
Glue a 12-by-1/2-inch strip of oak tag into a circle and let it dry.
Stick the circle into the fish's mouth and glue it into place. The mouth should be round and open.
Make three evenly spaced pencil marks around the mouth and punch a hole at each point.
Tie a 12 inch piece of string to two holes.
Tie a 7 inch piece of string to the other hole; tie the other end of
the 7 inch piece of string to the center of the 12-inch string.
Finally tie this to a pole.
