Pumpkin Votive

skill level: easy
cost: under $5 plus three pumpkins
craft time: 15 minutes plus drying time

one small baby food jar/small mason jar (or small glass candle holder from the craft store) 
orange tissue paper
modge podge or white glue thinned with water (equal parts)
black construction paper
tea light candle

have on hand
paint brush
scissors

Clean jar and remove label. 
Rip tissue paper into pieces about an inch all around.  Don't cut to make a square, jagged misshapen pieces are preferred.
Paint
Paint the outside of the jar with mod podge or thinned glue (do not paint the ridges of the jar-that would be a fire hazard).
Place tissue paper all over the jar, overlapping pieces.
Paint more modge podge or glue over the top.
Let dry. 
Cut out a jack-o-lantern face from the black construction paper.
Glue it to the jar.
