Magical Ghosts

craft time: 20 minutes plus drying time
During the Halloween season you can also find glow in the dark
starch.
aluminum foil
cheesecloth or gauze material, let the ends be
ragged
liquid starch (you can find this in most craft stores)
Shape
pieces of aluminum foil into simple ghost shapes.
Cut up cheesecloth in to
the sizes you need to cover each ghost and place in a large bowl.
Pour starch
over cloth.
Submerge material into starch and soak 5 minutes.
Remove
from starch; let excess starch drain back into the bowl.
Drape the material
over the sculpture.
Let dry, may need to dry overnight.
Carefully remove
the base construction and voila your ghost has been
created.
Options
Face: add eyes and a mouth or cut out of cloth
before it dries
Chain: using black construction paper cut out long, thin
rectangles, loop them together to make a chin for your ghost.
