National Candy MonthCANDY!
by W.Holidays

Candy is made with sugar, honey, syrup, or a similar substance.  It may also include chocolate, fruit, and nuts.

Candy has been around a long time.  There are records showing Egyptians making candy 3,500 years ago.  The earliest candy was honey covered fruits and nuts.  During the Middle Ages, candy was considered a luxury; therefore, only the wealthy consumed it.  In 1519, Spanish explores were introduced to cacao bean (from which chocolate is derived) by the Aztecs.  In 1854 , the first packaged box of Whitman's chocolate was sold.  Since then thousand of candies have been created.

Why not make some homemade candy this month?
