My dad was the
greatest man ever. My most 2 precious memory of my dad was during the birth of
my 1st child. He was waiting in the waiting room all 21 hours of my labor and
the nurse came in about every 10 minutes and told me that my daddy says hang in
there and to hurry up and have his grandchild so he can hold it, and the 2nd is
when I was 8 we went on a father daughter fishing contest and caught a 15lb cat
fish and won the grand prize of $25 which he told me to spend any way that I
want. My dad died from leukemia in 1994 and I miss him so very much, he was the
easiest man to talk to and prided himself on his 3 children that he thought
never did any wrong. I love you dad and Miss you very much!!! Happy Fathers
day!

My father passed
away on May 11th 1991 from a very bad accident. I want to share his memory with
everyone, it was in the summer time about five years before he passed I think I
was 7, he and my mom had taken us to see the funny cars at Atco raceway which
was such a wonderful time for me because I loved cars and I love to them race.
It was a night to remember the smell of the tire's burning and the crowd
screaming and clapping and I looked at my daddy and smiled at him and he knew
it was fun for me then after an hour or so somehow in between all that noise
from all the cars I fell asleep in my daddy's arms and when I awoke we were
driving home and I remember him saying Carrieanne and he was laughing to saying
I can't believe you were asleep with all that noise and I said that it was
because I was in his arms because I felt safe and warm and very peaceful, so
thank you daddy for that memory and so many others, I love you daddy and may you
rest in peace.

One of my favorite memories of
my dad is when I was about 10. My parents owned a funeral home in Missouri and
Dad wanted all of us (there were four girls in my family) to go to the basement
and pick up all the wrapping that had been on new caskets. So we're all
grumbling and complaining under our breath that we just didn't want to do this
and we got to the basement and there were four brand new gold colored
banana-seat bikes! Oh my gosh, imagine how those grumbles turned to squeals of
happiness! And Dad stood there with the biggest smile on his face -- he gleamed.
To have us happy was what made him the happiest. It's been almost one year since
we lost him to a long illness at the age of 74. August 29, 2003 will be one year
and I still miss him so much, it still hurts. But I know he's in a much better
place and he is having a heck of a good time with his parents and his only
brother. I love you, Dad and someday will see you again.

My favorite
memory of my father was when I was about 8 years old. I had because to doubt
the existence of Santa Clause, so that year my Dad made me believe that Rudolph
and the other reindeers were on my roof by standing out in the snow and throwing
rocks on our roof; that's how much my Dad loved me.

My favorite memory about my dad
is when he takes me places, like visiting my grandpop and going out to eat. We
have lots of fun when we spend time together. I love him very much. He's a very
good father!

My Papa is
the best father in the whole world. What I learned best about him is his
simplicity and humility. Papa is known of being kind to the needy. Though he
only have little money left I'm sure if you need it he will lend it to you. Papa
almost sold all land he acquire just to send us to school. That's how great my
father is! I am so proud of my father. I just want to tell him I LOVE HIM VERY
MUCH! Right now my father has a skin cancer and was advise to have chemo or
radio. Those who might read this Please Do Pray for my Father. God Bless you.
Thanks

The only dad I ever
knew was Jerry Tauberschmidt, my idol & mentor. You see, he was not my
biological father. He was my step-father, but you wouldn't have known that by
the way he treated my sisters & I. You see we were the original "Brady
Bunch". My mom had 3 girls & Jerry had 3 boys when they married in June of
1962.But they went one better than the "Brady Bunch" & had our brother
Ronnie! This man would work 2 jobs just to make sure we had everything we
needed. And when I had my daughter in 1974 her father was not there for me, but
her grandpa was. He always called me 'Debbie-Do'. When he came to the hospital
to see me & my daughter, the nurses gave him a hard time because he wasn't
the babies father. He promptly let them know that no he wasn't the babies father
BUT he was mine & if they had a problem to talk to the doctor but he was
going to see his daughter! He was always there for me & my sisters. He was a
wonderful & loving man & his 3 boys are the brothers I never had because
my 2 older brothers died in infancy. I will always remember him as
DAD.

My Dad; taught
my brother and myself to LOVE everyone unconditionally. And, we did. When I was
about 5 or 6 his parents, came to visit, from West Virginia. We went to see them
at our Aunt's house. Grandma was sitting on the sofa, she brought my brother a
truck, and me a Barbie doll. We both hugged her neck and told her how much we
loved her. She said, "Tell Grandpa that, he'll want to hear it." So I went over
to him, grabbed him by the neck and hugged him, and told him that I loved him
very much. He just looked at us, and then looked at our father. He told him
"Dad, I'm teaching my children to love everyone unconditionally, just as it says
to in the Bible." My grandfather just wiped away the tears, you see we were the
only grandchildren out of several that ever told them that we loved them. If
they were alive today, I would still tell them. Daddy passed away in 1973, at
age 32. Mom is also gone in 1992, at age 51. Grandma and Grandpa are also gone.
But, I still LOVE everyone, unconditionally. I miss you all.

My Dad was born in Denmark in
the Old Country. His parents were married at a late age and had only two
children. They named him Laurids Jacobsen Sax. It was called the Old Country
because while America had cars, electricity, and phones - Denmark still wasn't
advanced. During the Depression, their way of life in Denmark was day to day.
Their tree farm was going under financially because of the depression. they
couldn't hardly
stay afloat with the sale of their farm animals they raised
for food. They heard of a better life in America and they came over to live a
better life. They had planned this all ahead and they had homes and farm jobs
waiting for them on their arrival. Is heritage made him a good, mild mannered
man who worked hard for his family. I love you Dad!

My dad loved to work in the
garden and taught me to enjoy and
appreciate nature. I miss having chats with
him over a hot cup of coffee. Daddy died on January 31, 1997, he was 84 years
old. I miss you Daddy.
