My dad is a hard worker! He always provided for our family very well and still took the time to have fun with us. I loved our Saturday trips to the arcade or 4 wheeling. I knew that I could always depend on my dad. He is the only person I know who can out-shop me. He is a great shopping partner, who lets you look at whatever you want for as long as you want. He was the one who took me shopping to find my wedding dress. He has bought flowers for me every year on my birthday for as long as I can remember. I was so surprised last year when he drove out to the school where I was teaching and brought roses to my classroom. He never forgets! I love my dad very much and am thankful that I am a part of his family.

My Dad has to be the best. He has gotten me just about everything I really need and takes me about anywhere I want to go except on vacation maybe. Well, I love my Dad so much that I can't fit it all in words so I'll just stop here. LUV YA DAD!!!!!!

The fondest memory of my dad is that we grew up on a farm and my father was strict about us doing our chores even on our birthdays. It was my thirteenth birthday and I wanted to ride my bike over to my friends house but, my father told me I had to unload the wood shavings from the back of the truck. Of course they were loose not bagged and it takes a long time to unload. Of course I was angry like a normal teenager, I thought I shouldn't have to work on my birthday but he told me I had to do it or stay home. So angry as could be I unloaded the truck and in the bottom underneath all those wood shavings was a new bike!!! I screamed and hugged my dad and didn't have to finish. The smile on my father's face from my reaction I will never forget. He passed away November 30, 2000. I will always remember his smile that day!!!

One of my favorite memories of my dad was when I was about 5 years old. My mom had made a 2-layer round cake for my birthday with white icing. My dad would ask me what picture I wanted on the side of the cake and then he would pipe it on with pink icing! I can still remember the thrill of telling him the picture & him putting in on that cake! I don't remember any presents from that birthday, but I'll never forget that cake! P.S. I am a cake decorator today!

I can't pick just one memory of my POP but a thousand or more come to mind. My dad was the best. I was the youngest of three daughters and dad's #1 son!! He would let me work on cars with him and get his tools to help. He and I spent many summers evenings fishing on the riverbanks. We did a lot of wonderful things together. I cherish them all. Pop's been gone 5 years this June and he is always still very close to me. I think of him often and know that he is smiling down on me and his only grandson. I Love you Pop! Love, Baby dumpling.

My grandfather raised me. My favorite memory is the goofy Okkie songs that he would sing. "Monkey and a baboon had a fight monkey knocked the baboon clean out of sight...he went so high that he touched the sky and he didn't come down 'til the fourth of July" then he would belt out "Davey Davey Crockett King of the wild frontier" it had nothing to do with the song. He was the funniest person I have ever and will ever meet. I miss him terribly and wish he could have met my son who might be almost as funny.

Oddly, the one memory that really stands out in my head is on one New Years Day when I was 12. My dad gave me the best hug it meant so much (we weren't big on huggin' in our family). I still remember it, I'm sad their weren't more, but I happy there was the one.

My dad . . . what can I say about such a great person? My mom passed away in April and it has been pretty hard on him. Him and my mom have been through a lot together. Though he has had many good opportunities with good futures, he has chosen not to move because of our good schooling we have. He gave up his favorite thing in the whole world for me and my brother (farming) to take worst job ever (awful construction in bad health conditions). He is the bravest, noblest person I have ever encountered in my life and I probably wont find anyone more of either of them. He'll always be my daddy and I'll always be his "pretty little girl". I don't think I could love anyone more than I do him and he's the only reason I am living. If he ever left me, I don't know what I would do. He always makes time for me and does things with me. I am writing this because he deserves the dad of the year award or something. Not many dads could measure up to him. My daddy.

Well, my dad passed away a little over six years ago, and I still find fathers day to be a very difficult day, My dad was a great dad He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. Together my mom and dad raised 10 kids. What I remember most about my dad was his hands, he had the biggest hands I had ever seen. They were strong hands, hands that handled the steering wheel of an 18 wheeler for most of his life, his hand were hands that had been filthy with grease and dirt from spending all day on his day off repairing his rig to get it ready for work the following Monday. My dad hands were hands that knew how to use a chainsaw to cut firewood to heat our home in the winter. I remember seeing my dad's hands chafed and sore from a long week at work, handling his rig and freight. But what I remember most about my dad's hands is the gentleness in them when I needed him to hug me, the softness in them when he stroked my hair to sooth my broken heart after I had had it broken by friends. I remember the gentleness in his hands as he held my first born daughter when she was just a few days old, the hands that took time from his workday to visit a clothing store to pick out a outfit for her to give her on her christening day. I remember hands held the video camera and taped her the first time she tried to feed herself and then ever few minutes he would shut the camera off so he could take a little bit of food and gently smear over her face before he would continue on with his recording. I remember hands that helped my daughter build a snowman in the snow the last time he spent the night with us before his death not realizing that it would be his last chance to do so. I remember hands that helped my husband fix our car, install a hot water heater, and so many more things he helped him with all the time treating him as he did my brothers. I remember hands that held my son in his arms as he made plans for them when my son would be a teen, how he would be then retired and my son would be his buddy to take on his overnight fishing trips on the bay, again not realizing that he would be gone just one month after my son's first birthday. See when I remember my dads hands i remember the love I saw in them even when his hands had to be used to punish me they were still filled with love for me and my sister and brothers. My dads hands were strong when I needed them strong, gentle when I needed them to be gentle, and firm when I needed guidance from them, but my dads hands were never without love for his family. I remember when my dad was deep in thought or maybe a little nervous how he would fold his hands in front of him, interlocking his fingers. My dad was one of the greatest men I have ever known and he is missed still a great deal by myself and my family. See my dads hands were big but I believe his heart was equally as big for he had lots of love for his family, we were never a wealthy family in terms of money but we had love that money could never buy. My dad was my hero, I love him still and he was a man among men.

My father passed away when my youngest child was 6 months old. I was 23. My fondest memory of him was when I was a little girl he used to "sneak" me out of the house every Saturday morning and take me to breakfast. I used to think no one else in the house knew we were going. He was such a wonderful and caring father. I miss him so much!

I know everyone has something special to say about their dad, and that everyone thinks the world of their fathers, but my father has really been a great influence on my life! Since before I can remember my mom has been an alcoholic! I can recall so many times id sit and cry, praying that god would make her better! I used to crawl under my brother's bed, cover my head with a pillow, and cry myself to sleep! I always felt so scared, and confused. She always seemed to make it my fault! My father would always explain to me that it wasn't my fault, and that my mom was just sick. Every time I felt so scared, he would hold me until I knew everything was going to be okay! If it wasn't for that little bit of hope my father gave me everyday, I would not be here! As I got older, I became heavily involved with drugs! I ran away, came home at all hours of the night, and cursed my parents all the time! Everyone thought that I was going to end up in jail, or some mental hospital, everyone except my father! He kept telling everyone that I was going to change, although I did change, it wasn't for the better! I got depressed, and made many attempts to kill myself! I had a low self-esteem, and I figured I was a nobody and would always be. If it wasn't for my fathers faith in god, I would be dead right now! He fought, and fought, and fought for me, until I finally realized I WAS somebody! My dad has molded and shaped me into the person I am today! He has helped me to overcome even the biggest troubles in my life! Thank you daddy, for making ME believe in ME!

My favorite memory of my Dad is when I was a little girl and he would take me fishing with him. He would wake me up in the wee hours and him and I would go fishing. My father is no longer with me and I miss him dearly. Happy Fathers Day Dad! I know heaven is a better place with you in it.

My dad is one of a kind. He's always there for us and always has words of wisdom to share. He's never judgmental and no matter how absurd or far fetched our dreams may have been, or may be, he always encourages us to go for it!!!! That has meant the world to me in my 28 years and I have always felt that I can go to my dad with any thing, no matter how big or small. He's not only my dad, but my friend!!!

My dad is simply the greatest!! Not only does he have a great sense of humor, he is a genuinely wonderful person. My fondest memories of my dad are him coming to all of my softball, volleyball and gymnastic events, not to mention his enjoyment at driving across the various states constantly to do so...just to see me excel and to support me in my endeavors. That, alone, to me, shows his dedication as a father and friend. I had to write a paper about the person I most admired and respected in 6th grade, and I chose my father as my role model.

My dad's name is Ricky Baggett. My fondest memory of my dad was when my sister and I were little girls, my dad used to sit around and sing gospel songs to us. That was his way of spending time with us.

My Dad taught me to fish and he sat with me for hours in a cold stream until I caught my first fish (only 5 inches long) he was so proud. He made me feel so good about catching this tiny fish!

Well he is very nice and he comes to just about every one of my soccer games because he knows that soccer is very important to me. In fact he has been to every important part of my life. I love and thank him for that.

My dad is the best golfer in the world. He doesn't play in the PGA because he's too busy at his job, but he would kick all of their butts if he did.
