Easter Activities
- Carrot Top Garden
Cut the tops
off of a few carrots. Place them in a shallow dish and water daily. The carrot
tops should be sitting in 1/2cm of water all the time. The green foliage will
sprouts quickly.
- Bunny Trails
Make cute little
bunny paw prints. This is from an old newspaper clipping. Position your first
three fingers to look like the pads of a bunny paw. Dip your fingers in some
flour and make a trial through the house. It vacuums right up.
- Egg Hunt
Hide eggs around and
let the kids find them! Traditionally real hard-cooked eggs are hidden nowadays
it is popular to hide plastic eggs filled with candy, coins and trinkets.
- Color code the eggs for each child. IE: Billy
looks for only blue eggs, Sandy looks for yellow, Jill for pink, etc. This way
everyone gets the same amount (the will be no hard feelings) and you can put age
appropriate candy and trinkets in the eggs.
- Egg Roll
Create your start
and finish lines. Place an egg for each participant the start line. Each
participant must push the egg with his or her nose to the finish line.
- Egg Toss
This is a game for
partner. Each partner faces each of and simply tosses the egg to his or her
partner (everyone in the line tosses at the same time. If you drop or miss the
egg your team is out. After each toss everyone takes a big step
backwards.
- Kiddy Egg Toss
Have children
toss plastic eggs into a basket as the game progress move the basket further and
further away.
