Luscious Landfill Cups

Layer ingredients in a clear cup. The layers
represent the layers of the landfill.
you'll need: Oreo cookies, fruit
roll-ups, crack crackers, peanuts, Twizzlers, pudding, pretzels, and
candy
Oreo - twist apart and place side with no filling on bottom. This
represents a layer of soil.
Oreo - cream side up. This represents a layer
of clay.
Fruit Roll-up - cut a piece to fit. This represents the plastic
liner.
Graham Cracker - crush 1/3 of your graham cracker. This represents
sand.
Peanuts - place in to represent a layer of pebbles.
Twizzler
- cut in 1/2 and lay vertically. This represents the leachate
pipe.
Graham cracker - 1/3 crushed
Fruit Roll-up - cut to
fit
Graham cracker - 1/3 crushed

Oreo -
Crush 2nd Oreo for soil layer.
Pudding, pretzels and candy - This
represents the trash in the landfill.
Oreo - Final layer of
soil.
Cool whip - layer of foam covering the landfill.
