Samhain (Sow-inn) is the word for November in Gaelic. The
Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest
season. It begins the dark half of the year. It is a time
when the deceased are remembered and honored, the autumn harvest is
reaped, and the preparation for winter begins. Samhain is also
consider the The Celtic New Year.

arborvitae, chrysanthemum, hazel, pumpkin, sage, thistle, and wormwood.
Incense associated with Samhain: apple, nutmeg, sage, and mint.
