Primrose Day

According to legend, she rejected the advances of a Roman prefect.
He persecuted her for her Christian faith. She was
imprisoned and tortured. She was sentenced to death by being
burned at the stake. Due to an earthquake, this did not happen.
She died in prison.
Agatha’s patronage includes bell-founders, breast cancer,
breast disease, against fire, earthquakes, eruptions of Mount Etna, fire, fire
prevention, jewelers, martyrs, natural disasters, nurses, rape victims,
sterility, and torture victims.
